Mask Sequence

Mask Sequence

This was a sequence I did using the masks I created and also Amy's and Pim's mask. I used photoshop with the pen tool set to 15 radius and I created line drawings looking at the reference photos. I hadn't really used this style before but for this the simplicity works, I would use this style again. The nonsense poem I wrote for it, about the experience

Public drawing

Public drawing
Public drawing using 2h pencil. Mostly done in the canteen. Some from street view. I prefer drawing random strangers, then you can capture something new each time, an interpretation of the subject matter. It also keeps it fresh and interesting.

Oxford Trip

Oxford Trip

At oxford I focused on perspective
Drawing using 2H pencil
2H Pencil

2H Pencil. I think this is a strong composition and with the sketchy lines it gives a sense of a immediacy and a natural feel to it. That along with the hint of the objects and figures rather than a detailed piece, works well to connect the scene to the viewer.

Drawing done using 2H pencil of a figure study by Michelangelo. I think this piece works well because of the varied thickness of lines which gives form to the figure, also the sharpness of the lines accent the figure well
Drawing done using 2H pencil of study by Raphael. I think this is a strong pose, even though it is centralized the angles of the legs and the child coming in breaks into the composition. And again with the varied line thickness to imply the shadows works well.

Perspective Drawings

Perspective Drawings

An exercise in perspective

I produced these using a 2H pencil, I used a ruler only for some of the longer lines, as I found that these lines were important in describing the perspective and also depicting the objects accurately.
